Queen Up! “Owning Your Power”

A Queen takes ownership of every aspect of herself. She owns
her body, her life, and her destiny. A queen doesn't blame others
for her situation.
In the game of chess, the queen is the most powerful game piece
on the board. Unlike other chess pieces, the queen is unlimited
and unrestricted, making her power undeniable. She can move
onto any square and in any direction—forward, backward, or
diagonally. She can take over any position on which the
opposing piece stands. Her influence on the chessboard is
unmatched, so it is important for her the freedom to reign and
fortify protection for herself and to protect the king from all
enemy forces.
Women it’s time to Queen Up! Queens of great kingdoms do not
sit in high positions, sitting idle! No they stand up facing the
opposing enemy to protect God’s kingdom.
So Queens! Just like Queen Esther, “Don’t think for a moment
that because you’re in the palace or a place of comfort, you can
stand by at a time like this! It’s time to arise and shine.
Who knows if perhaps you were made queen for just such a time
as this?” (Esther 4:13-14 NLT)
Owning Your Power
Queens of great kingdoms do not sit in high positions watching
the world unfold from a distance. They are active participants in
the well-being and prosperity of their realm. They rise to face
challenges head-on. They stand to protect not only themselves
but also the people they love, the values they hold dear, and the
greater purpose they serve.
When we as women “Queen Up,” we acknowledge that we hold
immense power in shaping our lives, our communities, and even
the world. This power does not come from a place of control or
domination, but from a deep understanding of our unique gifts
and the responsibility to use them wisely. As queens, we are
protectors, nurturers, and leaders. We stand at the front lines of
our lives, ready to face whatever comes our way with faith,
strength, and wisdom.
A Call to Action
Just as Queen Esther from the Bible rose to her royal position for
a purpose greater than herself, we too are called to rise. Esther’s
story is a powerful reminder that we are not queens by accident.
We are placed in positions of influence, no matter how big or
small, for a reason. When Esther’s people were in danger, she
had the choice to either stay silent or to act. And act she did—
fearlessly, with faith, and for the sake of something bigger than
herself.
Esther’s mentor, Mordecai, reminded her, “Don’t think for a
moment that because you’re in the palace or a place of comfort,
you can stand by at a time like this! Who knows if perhaps you
were made queen for just such a time as this?” (Esther 4:13-14
NLT). These words resonate deeply today. We must realize that
we are here, in this moment, with our unique set of
circumstances and challenges, for a purpose.
As queens, we are entrusted with the power to act, to protect,
and to lead. We cannot afford to sit back when there are battles
to fight—whether they be battles for our own growth, for
justice, for our families, or for the greater good of society. To
Queen Up is to step into our roles fully, knowing that we have
been prepared and positioned for such a time as this.
A Prayer for Queens
Heavenly Father, remind us that we are all heirs to the kingdom
through Your Son, Jesus Christ. Not just heirs, but queens—
daughters of the Most High God. We ask that You grant us a
fresh vision of Your kingdom purpose for our lives. Open our
eyes, our ears, our hearts, and our minds to Your calling, so that
we may live out our purpose with passion, zeal, and unwavering
faith.
Give us the strength to rise in the face of adversity, the wisdom
to make sound decisions, and the courage to move forward even
when the path is uncertain. Draw us closer to You, O Lord, so
that we may rule our lives with love, integrity, and
righteousness. Help us to Queen Up, to stand firm in our calling,
and to be the women You have destined us to be. In Jesus’ Name,
Amen.
To Queen Up is to embrace every facet of your identity—your
strengths, your flaws, your hopes, and your dreams. It is to
claim your power, not to rule over others, but to serve with
dignity, courage, and grace. Like the queen on the chessboard,
you are capable of great things. You are not limited by what
others think or expect of you. You have the freedom to move, to
change direction, to take risks, and to stand in your purpose.
Now is the time to step into your destiny, to rise up and face the
challenges ahead with the confidence of a queen. You were made
for such a time as this. So, Queen Up!
Prayer: Heavenly Father, remind us that we are all heirs to the
kingdom through Your son, Jesus Christ. And not just Heirs of
God, we are Queens, Daughters of the most high God. God
give us a fresh kingdom vision for Your purpose for our lives. We
ask that you open our eyes, our ears, our hearts and our minds to
Your kingdom vision so that we can live out our purpose with
passion and zeal. Draw us closer to You. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
